Bioloy - BIO-NEM-Legierung >

Bioloy is distinguished by an outstanding fluidity which grant to fill even the thinnest detail of the frame; down to two tenth of a millimetre.

The molecular structure allows you to obtain smooth, compact and mirror like surfaces with less oxide formation even after repeated oven treatment.

The thermal expansion coefficient is ideal for every ceramic of the last generation.

General using instruction

Preheating
Preheat casting moulds according to the instruction given by the manufacturer of the investment (N&V).

Melting and casting with an induction machine
Place some ingots into the crucible, according to the size of the frame.
Switch on the melting machine and make sure that it produces the highest power so to reach the melting point as soon as possible.
As soon as the ingots are melted and just before oxide skin breaks, start centrifugal action.

Melting and casting with open-flame
Light the flame and adjust the pressure in order to have a blue nucleus of about 4 mm lenght.
Place Ceraloy into the preheated crucible.
Move the flame over the cruicble, rotating the tip, in order to evenly heat the alloy.

Ceramic investment
Sandblast the framework with corundum 110 – 150 µm.
Boil the metal piece in distilled water for at least 10 minutes or vacuum clean.

Re-use of sprues and cones
The best results can be obtained by using pure Ceraloy ; it is however possible to re-use, only one time, the sprue cones provided that the same quantity of new metal would be added and that both new metal and sprue are from the same lot.

Warnings and cautions

1) Nickel may cause dermatitis on sensitive subjects. We advice a contact test ( i.e. Patch test ).

2) Verify before the application of the denture if other implants are present in the oral cavity of the patient. If different metals are present a „pile effect“ may occur.

3) Each batch is identified by a lot-number. Take note of this number on the patients file in order to trace down the product.
